You are made of sun and stars

of cerulean blue sea

of vibrant green earth

gentle running waters

magnetic yellow sunsets

crisp pink sunrises

immovable mountains

bare feet on cobblestones

quiet afternoons spent reading

late nights with loved ones spent laughing.

You are made of all that is

Good.

You are freedom and love

and joy and peace

and hope and wisdom.

You are my greatest teacher.

I, your humble student.

I hold you in my arms,

our energies swirling and spiraling

out towards infinity,

into the cosmos,

an expanding light

caressing the cheek of humanity,

radiating from

and back to

the source of life itself.

Amanda Sheppard is just a new mom exploring the tectonic shift into motherhood through a lens of empathy expansion and ego death. She plans to use creativity to analyze this metamorphosis as she humbly bears witness to its myriad manifestations.
