Wandering

As a child I used to get in trouble for wandering down roads by myself. Never knew where I was going, but loved every minute of it. This road wound through the mountains where I lived as a boy in Colorado. At the far end was old Charlie Royals old barns. Every now and then, he’d let us ride his horses up and down that road. My parents didn’t know where I was going, but I did.
Ever stumble onto one of those snowy roads where you had no idea where it was going but you just wanted to see what was in that barn with a single light shining. In the cold, cold winter weather might be possible to warm your hands. I wonder what might be on the other side of that light.
Robert L. Wise went to college for art and is an archbishop in the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches and director of the Office of Ecumenical Relations. He has been awarded the title of Apostolic Representative for Christian Unity by Pope Francis. In addition to his work in ecumenism, Wise is the author of over thirty-four books and many articles published in several languages. Wise also publishes under the pseudonyms Spencer E. Moses and Ed Moses.
