Sunset At Lake Hefner

Sunset at Lake Hefner by Jessie Zavala

This picture marked the end of the summer 2025, and our last walk next to the lake. We soaked up the beauty and in awe of summer’s last breath before twilight. The summer sun melted into the lake, leaving shades of yellow and orange behind. All around me, people soaked up the summer’s last night, celebrating with laughter. I had to capture this beautiful moment because it was bittersweet. It was melancholy because summer was ending, but autumn was around the corner and with it, hibernation.
